Alhamdulillah, now I have come to my 2nd weeks studying computer in education. On our 2nd assignment, we were asked to search about Course Management systems (CMS) or also known as Learning Management Systems (LMS). I have search about CMS by using a search engine (google). We can also use other search engine such as Yahoo. We can search about CMS by using 5 main keyword, (What, Why, Where, Who and How).a
Definition of CMS:
Based on Wikipedia definition of CMS, it is a software application for the administration, documentation, tracking, and reporting of training programs, classroom and online events, e-learning programs, and training content.
My own definition on CMS is:
Its a learning system where students learn and teachers teach via internet or web through open source software, instead of doing it in classroom. Students can check their lecturer notes and updates regularly at anytime they want and they can also manage to do their assignment more easily as they can summit it online instead of summiting it one on one to their lecturers. Thus, CMS is an advance and modern technique on learning and teaching methods.

Some of the reasons why we should used CMS in our education systems or in work office:
● Can save you valuable classroom time and improve the learning experience for your students. ● Can make learning process more effectives and easy by interacting with lectures or students anytime anywhere. It is more student and teacher centred.
● A CMS allows for teachers and administrators to track attendance, time on task, and student progress.
● It allows students, lecturers or workers who works in an office to share any documents, PowerPoint presentation, videos and etc.
● Only small number of lecturers is required as the course intake is being done through Internet.
● The learners can refer back through the materials from CMS at any time and as many times they want.
● It can give students and workers more time to do their work as they can summit their work or assignment through online rather than submitting it to one on one to their lecturers or administraton. It also allows students to discuss with their classmates through web groups.
● By using CSM, it will expose the students and workers on using computers as we are now lived in an advance and modern era.
However, there are some problems in using this CMS technique. What if the country does not have an advance technologies and there is no access to internet?? Then it would be hard for them to use this technique in their education system. Then how about people who lived in an addvance places but don't know how to use computer or IT?? Then the government have to spend money to teach this skills to them.
On the other hand, it is beneficial for the government to spent their budget on this course.
